ASNP Law Office is seeking highly motivated candidates to join our team as Mandarin–Indonesian Interpreter Paralegals to support our core legal team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in Chinese Literature (Sarjana Sastra Mandarin) or another relevant field supporting Mandarin communication skills;
• Minimum GPA of 3.20;
• Strong interest in interpreting and facilitating communication in legal-related fields;
• Excellent command of Mandarin (spoken and written), with a minimum of HSK Level 5;
• Strong communication skills;
• Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment; and
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the legal team by interpreting and translating Mandarin–Indonesian communications and legal documents;
• Support the legal team in liaising with Chinese clients and counterparts;
• Conducting basic research (including liaising with relevant institutions and authorities)
• Attending meetings and preparing minutes of meeting, as well as assisting in court proceedings by coordinating schedules and preparing necessary documents; and
• Managing and organizing legal documents as well as assisting in preparation of basic legal documents and correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship and/or working experience as a Mandarin–Indonesian translator or interpreter in a law firm or company;
• Basic understanding of Indonesian Law; and
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Literature (Sarjana Sastra Mandarin).
