Yogie is an Indonesian lawyer with almost two decades of legal practice experience in wide-ranging aspects of the corporate and commercial law area, with his strong expertise and specialization on corporate/mergers & acquisitions (M&A), banking, finance and project financing, restructuring and insolvency and major projects & energy. He also offers extensive experience and expertise in financial litigation and commercial disputes practices. Previously, he worked at one of the biggest law firms in Indonesia.
During his years of practice experience, he has represented and assisted numerous foreign and domestic companies in their various type of business and industries from financial institutions including multi-finance, project developers, contractors, concession owners, state-owned companies involved in their financing, investments and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and infrastructure development across a wide range of industry from energy, mining, power and toll road infrastructure sectors in Indonesia..
In M&A practice, he has significantly worked on major mergers & acquisitions for foreign and domestic clients in a wide range of industries among other includes banking, finance, multi-finance, automotive, mining & metal, plantation, manufacturing, consumer goods and toll road infrastructure divestment. One of highlights of his work includes representing and advising one of Indonesian TMT conglomerate clients in their divestment of its pulp and paper business through a tender process. He also represented majority investors including one of the largest auto finance companies in the People's Republic of China in arranging a strategic joint venture to set up a multi-finance business in Indonesia.
He also has represented and advised commercial and investment banks and other financial institutions in various types of lending and financing transactions (bilateral and syndication), structured financing, acquisition financing, project financing, distressed assets/debt sales and debt restructuring in Indonesia. He has also been involved in a long list of vessels financing transactions, representing both financiers and borrowers from multiple jurisdictions. He has been involved in advising financing and security structures and enforcement, drafting terms sheets, loan and facility agreement, security sharing and other security documents, project agreements, debt restructuring agreements and other transaction documents. In project finance, he has significant experience in the financing and development of toll road, power, and mining projects.
In restructuring & insolvency, he handled several debt restructuring/suspensions of payment and bankruptcy proceedings in the Indonesian Commercial Court.
